Any and all students who will be attending Herald Whitaker Middle School for the school year of 2026/2027 needs to complete the following Elective Request Form.
They will only need to choose FOUR of the electives, ranking them 1 through 4. We understand that many of the students have already requested electives; however, due to changes relating to the electives offered they will need to do this once again. This link will be live up through July 29, 2026 to allow schedules to reflect elective placements.

Revised Summer Feeding Schedule 🐝🖤
Through our partnership with Elevate Gear Up (KEDC) we will be offering two field trips to our upcoming 7th and 8th grade students.
For both trips, there is no cost associated for the student or parents; however, they must be picked up and dropped off at Herald Whitaker Middle School.
Trip #1 (Wednesday, June 3, 2026)
UPIKE Campus Tour & Lunch @ Chick-Fil-A
Departure from HWMS: 9:00am
Arrive Back at HWMS: 1:00pm
Trip #2 (Thursday, June 4, 2026)
Kentucky Reptile Zoo and Lunch @ Miguel's Pizza
Departure from HWMS: 11:00am
Arrive Back at HWMS: 4:00pm

Students need to arrive in the cafeteria by 5:30 pm
Ceremony begins at 6:30 pm
Parking will be available in the front of HWMS or on the south side of the building. If it is full, there will be a shuttle bus running from SGS to the gym.
Parking behind the gym is reserved for HWMS staff only.
Each student has 2 assigned seats for their parents, however, they are NOT limited to 2 guests. Additional seating will be available in the wooden bleachers on the floor as well as both top sections. Names are already on the seats based on the student names.
Entrance will be through the gym hallway doors, as with a ballgame.
